"Time and tide waits for no man" or in the world of enterprise events "Time and data waits for no man" ... i.e. whatever happens needs to be stored and accessible for all systems of record. The nature of this challenge typically involves lots of resources and cost because it gets complex. The overriding single aspect to this complexity is capturing the data related to the events. Insulating this complexity from high cost resourcing is a natural business objective.
